Bojanala Mayor Nthangeni Leads Packed Day of Empowerment and Development

Thursday, 11 September 2025, was a busy and impactful day for Bojanala Platinum District Municipality Executive Mayor, Cllr Dikeledi Suzan Nthangeni, as she spearheaded a series of high-profile events aimed at uniting communities, empowering employees, and driving development across the district.

Executive Mayor Nthangeni began the day at the Sports Indaba, where she delivered a stirring keynote address calling on all stakeholders to work together for the advancement of sport in Bojanala. She emphasized that sport has the power to unite, inspire youth, and open opportunities for growth and development.

From there, the Executive Mayor turned her focus to land reform and rural development. At the Land Reform and Rural Development Conference, she presided over the historic handover of title deeds to traditional authorities, communities, and cooperatives. The gesture symbolized the restoration of dignity and rightful ownership to beneficiaries who had been denied it for generations.

Later in the day, the momentum of growth continued at Van Zyl Hall, where municipal employees gathered for a Financial Literacy Training Workshop. The session, hosted by Corporate Support Services under the leadership of Director Beauty Makganye and HR Manager Tshegofatso Melamu, equipped staff with essential financial knowledge covering home loans, vehicle financing, budgeting, and investments.
