ActionSA Lays Fraud and Corruption Charges Against Rustenburg Municipal Manager

ActionSA has officially laid criminal charges of fraud and corruption against Adv. Ashmar Khuduge, the Municipal Manager of Rustenburg Local Municipality, at the Rustenburg Police Station today.

The charges relate to allegations of financial misconduct in violation of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), including:

Failure to prevent unauthorised expenditure
Irregular expenditure
Non-compliance with procurement regulations
Abuse of power under Section 114 of the MFMA

ActionSA President Herman Mashaba, accompanied by his deputy Dr Mbahare Kekana and North West Provincial Chairperson Thabo Nkashe, led the delegation that submitted the charges. They were joined by Lerato Ngobeni MP, North West MPL Kwena Mangope, and Ofentse Kombe, the former BCM President who recently joined ActionSA, in a strong show of political support.

“We have declared corruption as public enemy number one and will make certain that those authorities and persons involved are held accountable,” the party said in a statement following the formal submission of the charges,” said Mashaba
