Bojanala District Boosts Service Delivery with Key Donations to Local Municipalities

Bojanala Platinum District Municipality has stepped up efforts by equipping its five constituent local municipalities with essential tools of trade. The district municipality recently donated a range of critical equipment, including four firefighting trucks, three 4×4 Nissan bakkies, and twelve water JoJo tanks to local municipalities such as Moses Kotane, Moretele, and Kgetlengrivier.

The water JoJo tanks, allocated to Moses Kotane Local Municipality, are set to provide much-needed water storage solutions in the remote rural areas, addressing water scarcity challenges. Meanwhile, the firefighting trucks will bolster emergency services, such as firefighting operations, in the same municipality. The 4×4 Nissan bakkies, distributed across the three municipalities, will serve vital transportation needs, enabling quicker and more efficient responses to various local requirements.

Executive Mayor, Suzan Dikeledi Nthangeni, emphasized the importance of the district’s role in supporting local municipalities. “The basic role and function of the district municipality is to enhance service delivery in constituent local municipalities. Here in Bojanala District, we are doing exactly that, thus fulfilling our legislative mandate of delivering quality, reliable, and consistent services to our communities. We are going to do that with other local municipalities to ensure equity and sustainability,” The Executive Mayor remarked.

The recent donations underscore Bojanala District’s commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring that communities, particularly in rural areas, benefit from reliable and consistent services. The municipality has pledged to continue its support to all local municipalities within the district to promote equity and sustainability in service provision.
