In a touching act of solidarity and compassion, members of the Bojanala Platinum Sub-District 2 #MenForChange and #WomensNetwork structures visited Constable V.A. Makapane at Hebron Police Station on Wednesday to offer their support following the devastating loss of his home and belongings in a house fire earlier this year.

The visit was part of an initiative inspired by a call from the Provincial Office encouraging members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) to stand with Constable Makapane during his time of need.

With the full backing of the Acting District Commissioner, Brigadier Mamotsamai Ntoagae, members across the district came together in a remarkable display of unity and care. Through their collective efforts, the two support structures managed to raise and donate R13 000 to help Constable Makapane rebuild his life.

Brigadier Ntoagae commended the members for their generosity and spirit of ubuntu, describing the initiative as a reflection of the SAPS values of care and solidarity.
Constable Makapane expressed heartfelt gratitude to his colleagues for their kindness and encouragement, saying their support has given him strength to move forward.
