Bokone Bophirima Publishing House Unveils Setswana Poetry Treasures in Grand Book Launch

A literary celebration of profound significance unfolded on the serene grounds of Monakaladi Gardens in Dihatshwane, Mahikeng, as Bokone Bophirima Publishing House, in collaboration with the Department of Arts, Culture, Sports & Recreation (ACSR), played host to a remarkable book launch event. On the 17th of October 2023, the spotlight shone on Setswana poetry, as three enchanting books were unveiled to a captivated audience.

The primary objective of this book launch was to introduce these literary gems to both their creators and the public, with the intention of fostering appreciation and promotion of Setswana literature and the remarkable talents behind it.

The stars of the day were three Setswana poets whose creative expressions have carved a niche in the hearts of poetry enthusiasts. Meropeng Goaboelwa, authored by Mr. Victor Sebogodi, Tsholofelo, a creation by Mme Mapula Seremo, and Poko ya Setswana, penned by Rre Omphile Ditake, were the three poetry collections that took center stage.

At the heart of the event was the acknowledgment of the exceptional creative writing skills displayed by these poets.
