Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Deputy President Gardee Godrich addressed the funeral service of the late North West Provincial Command Team (PCT) member and Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPL), Fighter Meikie Dikolomela, held on Sunday, 08 February 2026, in Schweizer-Reneke.

Scores of EFF members, leaders and supporters from across the North West Province gathered to pay their final respects to Dikolomela, who passed away on Monday, 02 February 2026. The funeral service was marked by strong party presence, with mourners clad in EFF regalia as tributes were delivered in honour of her life and political contribution.

Godrich described Dikolomela as a disciplined and dedicated revolutionary who remained committed to the EFF’s founding principle of achieving economic freedom in the lifetime of the people. He said she served the movement and the people of the province with loyalty and conviction, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service.

North West Provincial Legislature Speaker Dr. Desbo Mohono also honoured Dikolomela, describing her as a principled parliamentarian who conducted herself with integrity in the legislature. Mohono said Dikolomela demonstrated respect for democratic processes and was unwavering in her commitment to improving the lives of communities across the province.

She said Dikolomela’s legacy would continue to live on through the institution she served and the communities she fought for, noting that her contribution to public service would not be forgotten.
