Elizabeth Smith Sworn in as Councillor of Madibeng Local Municipality

Elizabeth Smith of the Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus) was officially sworn in as a Councillor of the Madibeng Local Municipality this morning in a solemn ceremony conducted by the Brits Magistrate, Yvonne Moteane.

Smith steps into the role following the recent passing of Jan Smith, who succumbed to illness. Jan Smith was a respected figure in the community and served as a dedicated Councillor before his untimely death.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several prominent members of the local council, including the Speaker of Council, Ditshego Mbezi. Fellow Councillors Elsa Lourens, Lardus Klopper, and Gullaume Clouston also witnessed the event, expressing their support for Smith as she takes on her new responsibilities.

In her brief remarks following the ceremony, Smith acknowledged the legacy of the late Councillor and expressed her commitment to serving the people of Madibeng with the same dedication and passion.
