Executive Mayor Douglas Maimane Impressed by Service Delivery Progress in Oukasie

The Executive Mayor of Madibeng Local Municipality, Douglas Maimane, expressed satisfaction today with the ongoing service delivery projects during a surprise visit to Oukasie. Residents of the community were taken aback by the early morning appearance of Mayor Maimane, who arrived to inspect several key developments in the area.

Accompanied by Municipal Members of the Mayoral Committee (MMCs), Directors, and representatives from local taxi associations, Maimane commenced his visit by inaugurating a newly constructed road. This road, a vital infrastructure improvement, promises to enhance local transportation and connectivity for residents of Oukasie.

Following the road opening ceremony, Maimane proceeded to officially hand over a newly established taxi rank. This facility is expected to streamline commuter services and provide a structured hub for taxi operations within the community, aimed at improving overall transportation efficiency.

Continuing his inspection tour, Maimane visited Vuķa Section to review the progress of pavement installations. He emphasized the importance of quality infrastructure for the community and expressed his contentment with the work completed thus far.

“I am pleased with the progress we have seen in Oukasie today,”Maimane remarked during his visit. “It is essential that we continue to deliver on our promises of improved infrastructure and services for all residents.”

Maimane also took the opportunity to urge community members to take ownership of and protect these newly developed facilities. “I appeal to all residents to safeguard these government infrastructures,” he stated, emphasizing the role of the community in maintaining these assets for long-term benefit.

In response to potential security concerns, Maimane announced plans to deploy additional security measures to protect municipal facilities across Oukasie. This proactive approach aims to ensure the safety and longevity of public assets within the municipality.
