This marks the beginning of a series of programs scheduled to take place in various identified schools across Rustenburg throughout the week.

This annual endeavor by the Executive Mayor underscores a commitment to addressing the needs of learners from economically disadvantaged families. The initiative recognizes the importance of eradicating obstacles to education that arise from the lack of basic school materials.

Speaking at Motladi Kgoadikgoadi Primary School, Mabale-Huma emphasized the significant impact the Back to School Program has in mitigating social issues that may impede students’ learning experiences. The Executive Mayor called on all stakeholders, urging them to unite in support of the less fortunate, aiming to bridge the gap of poverty and elevate these learners from their challenging circumstances.

Accompanying Executive Mayor in this noble cause were Cllr Boipelo Marekoa, MMC responsible for Planning and Human Settlement at the Rustenburg Local Municipality, ward Councillors, and representatives from essential stakeholders such as SAPS and the Department of Social Development.
