Happy Times in Lefaragatlhe as Pimville Kicks Qualify for Provincial Playoffs

Joy and celebration have returned to Lefaragatlhe after local football giants, Pimville Kicks, were crowned champions of the SAFA Bojanala Hollywoodbets Regional League, despite a 3-0 defeat to their arch-rivals, Khuseleka All Stars from Sondela, in a highly anticipated clash on Saturday.

The Ward 7-based outfit sealed their spot at the top of the league standings, earning a ticket to the Provincial Playoffs. Pimville’s unwavering consistency throughout the season was enough to see them through, even as All Stars — who finished second — delivered a strong performance in their final encounter.

Coach Thomas Phuthi of Pimville Kicks praised his team’s efforts, saying the boys had worked exceptionally hard all season and promised that they would “continue to show character at the playoffs.”

Despite the disappointment of missing out on the league title, Khuseleka All Stars’ coach, Simon Maifala, showed great sportsmanship by congratulating the champions. “They have shown resilience and discipline, and we wish them all the best as they represent Bojanala,” he said.

Ward 7 Councillor and Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) at Rustenburg Local Municipality, Selebaleng Pule, also expressed her pride in the team. She appealed to the community to rally behind Pimville Kicks as they head into the provincial campaign.

“We are proud of these boys. They’ve brought joy to Lefaragatlhe before by winning the Mayoral Cup last year, and we believe they will bring the provincial title home,” Pule said confidently.

Pimville Kicks will now shift focus to the Provincial Playoffs, where they hope to continue their fairytale run and bring further glory to their community.
