Help Phokeng Police Find Missing Cop

The police in Phokeng are appealing to members of the community to assist in locating a missing 25-year-old police officer, Constable Kutlwano Joy Tshepe, from Monakato Location outside Rustenburg.

According to police reports, Tshepe was last seen at his home on the morning of Thursday, 02 October 2025, by his mother before she left for work. Later that morning, around 11:00, she received a call from her son’s colleagues after he failed to report for duty at the Rustenburg Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC).

It is understood that Tshepe had recently lost his cellphone, making it difficult for his family and colleagues to reach him. Concerned about his whereabouts, his mother searched for him at relatives’ homes and his girlfriend’s place, but her efforts yielded no positive results. He was officially reported missing on Sunday, 05 October 2025.

Subsequent search operations were conducted around the area, but no leads have yet been found.

At the time of his disappearance, Tshepe was wearing navy blue jeans, a black T-shirt, and an Adidas top. He is described as light in complexion with a well-built body.

Police have urged anyone who may have information that could assist in tracing Tshepe to contact the Investigating Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Dipotso Montsho, at 076 834 3531, or report to the nearest police station. Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously via the SAPS Crime Stop number at 08600 10111.
