Illegal Shop Demolished in Zinniaville During City At Work Operation

As part of its ongoing City At Work programme, the Rustenburg Local Municipality’s Directorate of Planning and Human Settlements today demolished an illegal structure located at the corner of Pertunia and Sonneblom Streets in Zinniaville.

The structure, which was unlawfully operating as a shop on municipal servitude, was removed in line with municipal by-laws and planning regulations.

According to the municipality, the intervention aims to promote orderly development, protect public land, and clamp down on unauthorised land use. The demolition forms part of broader efforts to ensure all developments within Rustenburg adhere to legal and regulatory frameworks.
