Impala Rustenburg continues to empower local communities

Small businesses are some of the major contributors to local economies, and to address some of socio-economic challenges faced by local communities, Impala Rustenburg unveiled its new Economic Inclusion Centre. The centre will be a hub for mining community SMMEs providing business services such as market access, enterprise and supplier development, assistance to access to funding as well as various shared facilities for conducting business.

Taking a tour through the hub, Impala Rustenburg Chief Executive, Mark Munroe said community SMMEs would have access to the centre to use it for business related matters. “If they, for example, want to work they can just book an office here and work from there for the day. Not only that, but they can also book these offices which are also used as boardrooms for their meetings,” said Munroe.

The centre is expected to facilitate the creation, promotion and expansion of sustainable, empowered businesses through funding, guidance and support.
