Mabale-Huma Reconfigures Rustenburg Mayoral Committee

In a decisive move to enhance governance and improve service delivery, the Executive Mayor of Rustenburg Local Municipality, Shiela Mabale-Huma, has announced a reconfiguration of the Mayoral Committee. The reshuffle, announced today, follows a careful assessment and evaluation process undertaken by the Mayor.

In terms of Section 60(1)(a) of the Municipal Structures Act, the Executive Mayor holds the prerogative to appoint or reshuffle members of the Mayoral Committee. The restructured team will continue to function as an extension of the Office of the Executive Mayor, with its mandate aligned to support the Mayor in executing her executive responsibilities.

Mabale-Huma reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to the delivery of quality basic services, stating that such services “are and will not be negotiable.” She emphasized the need for accountability, adding that all Committee members are expected to serve with diligence, integrity, and a commitment to high ethical standards.

“The people of Rustenburg deserve leadership that is responsive, efficient, and principled. The new Mayoral Committee must rise to the occasion and ensure that our communities experience meaningful improvements in their everyday lives,” said Mabale-Huma.

The newly appointed members of the Rustenburg Mayoral Committee are:
