Madibeng Local Municipality Mourns the Passing of Councillor Elsie Kgautle

The Madibeng Local Municipality is in mourning following the untimely passing of Councillor Elsie Kgautle, who served as the Single Whip of Council and represented Ward 1 within the municipality.

Councillor Kgautle’s passing, which occurred on Thursday after a battle with illness, has left a void in the hearts of many within the community. Known for her dedication, leadership, and commitment to service delivery, Councillor Kgautle’s legacy will be remembered for years to come.

Expressing his condolences, Executive Mayor Councillor Douglas Maimane conveyed heartfelt words of sympathy to the family of Councillor Kgautle. “On behalf of the Madibeng Local Municipality, I would like to send sincere condolences to the family of the Single Whip, Councillor Elsie Kgautle,” Mayor Maimane stated. “The entire Madibeng has lost a true people-centered leader, an advocate of better life for all, and a real champion of service delivery. We shall remember her excellent works in the Municipality as Single Whip of Council and most importantly as Ward Councillor for the vast and demanding Ward 1 wherein she has left a legacy of an ideal government leader, a leader of good repute.”

As the community grapples with the loss of a respected leader, arrangements for both the memorial and funeral services for Councillor Kgautle will be communicated at a later stage, allowing friends, colleagues, and constituents to pay their respects and honor her memory appropriately.
