The Executive Mayor, Khumalo Molefe will be introducing a service provider contracted to dispose the decomposed fishes from Tontonyane Dam in Mahikeng.
The Community of Mahikeng would recall a fish mortality incident that happened towards the end of July at the Tontonyane Dam. Therefore, as we await the result of the study by professionals from Department of Economic Development, Conservation, Environment and Tourism who are currently studying the cause, Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality has committed to clean the surrounding areas of the dam.
This activity will give job opportunities to 20 unemployed community members.
