MEC of Health, Madoda Sambatha, will spearhead the provincial observance of World TB Day on March 24, 2024, at Rietpan village in Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality, Ngaka Modiri Molema District. This year’s World TB Day will carry the theme “Yes! You and I Can End TB.”
Marked annually on March 24th, World TB Day serves as a platform to raise awareness about the profound health, social, and economic ramifications of tuberculosis (TB), while also advocating for intensified efforts to halt the global TB epidemic.

MEC Sambatha will be joined by members of the Provincial Council on AIDS (PCA), civil society representatives, and various social partners to underscore the importance of combating TB.
The commemorative event will take place at the Rietpan village Sportsground on March 24, 2024. It will serve as an opportunity to engage communities, disseminate crucial information about TB prevention and treatment, and rally collective action towards ending TB once and for all.

Through collaborative efforts and increased awareness, stakeholders aim to mobilize resources, strengthen healthcare systems, and empower individuals to play an active role in the fight against TB.
