Moses Kotane Local Municipality Supports Local Businesses with Essential Equipment

The Moses Kotane Local Municipality has taken a significant step towards boosting the local economy by providing essential business equipment through its Local Economic Development (LED) Department. This initiative aims to support local businesses, helping them sustain operations and create economic opportunities within the community.

Cllr Nkeifang Caroline Motshabi, the portfolio head of LED, highlighted the municipality’s commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs. “Our goal is to support and sustain local businesses, which in turn will offer opportunities and boost the local economy for everyone,” she emphasized.

Several beneficiaries and their compliant business profiles were selected to receive this support:

  • Khumoetsile Investment: Tebogo Mokoloko received a freezer for her ice-making business. This equipment will enable her to produce and supply more ice cubes in Tweelagte. Clients can follow her business on Facebook and Instagram at Khumoetsile Investment.
  • Kairos Internet Cafe: Wame Ramekgwa was provided with a multifunction printing machine. This will enhance her business’s ability to type, scan, and fax documents efficiently, benefiting the youth in the Atamelang section of Mabeeskraal. Clients can support her by following Kairos Café on social media.
  • Diption Chilli Sauce: Dipuo Segwapa received a blender to mix ingredients in large quantities for her sauce-making business. This will help her produce sauces for dishes like meat marinades and other foods in Moruleng. Clients can follow and support her business on Facebook at Dipuo Segwapa.
  • Prudence Tsatsi: Transitioning from an EPWP worker to an entrepreneur, Prudence was given an oven to bake wedding cakes, scones, and biscuits in large quantities. She operates in Mogwase Unit 2, and clients are encouraged to support her business.

This initiative by the Moses Kotane Local Municipality not only provides immediate support but also sets the foundation for sustainable growth and economic development within the community.
