Motsweding FM Announces Line-Up Changes – Mizer is back and Modisane is gone

Motsweding FM, a prominent radio station known for its commitment to community development and cultural preservation, is gearing up for a lineup refresh. In an effort to bolster content delivery and promote gender equality in broadcasting, the station is introducing minimal but impactful changes to its current roster.

A familiar face returning to Motsweding FM is Boitumelo “Mizer” Mafole, a multifaceted talent with a background in DJing, sound engineering, and community engagement. Mizer, who previously graced the station from 2016 to 2018, brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering communities. Her reintegration into the team is expected to significantly contribute to Motsweding FM’s growth and impact.

In alignment with the United Nations’ Goal 5, which advocates for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, Motsweding FM is introducing two female presenters to its on-air team. Lebo Ndiya Molefe, a rising star with roots in community radio, will join DJ Nash to host “Megagamola” on Fridays from 20h00 to 24h00. Molefe’s enthusiasm for music and Setswana culture, coupled with her digital savvy, promises to attract a younger audience and enrich the station’s content offerings.

Meanwhile, Mizer will take the reins of “Bosigogare” on Saturdays and Sundays from 00h00 to 03h00, bringing her unique blend of energy and community-focused programming to late-night listeners.

The station is also bidding farewell to veteran broadcaster Modisane Modise, who has dedicated over four decades to radio broadcasting. While Modisane plans to transition into a role as a religious contributor for various segments, his legacy will be fondly remembered.

Motsweding FM’s Business Manager, Mamontha Motaung, expressed optimism about the lineup changes, emphasizing the importance of consistency and growth in revenue and audience engagement. Motaung also highlighted the significance of introducing two female broadcasters, marking a milestone in the Setswana broadcasting landscape and paving the way for future generations of female voices.

These adjustments reflect Motsweding FM’s ongoing commitment to delivering diverse and impactful content while championing gender equality in the media industry. As the station continues to evolve, listeners can expect an even richer and more inclusive radio experience.
