The 2025 North West Media Awards nominees were officially announced during a ceremony at BMW Rustenburg, marking another milestone in celebrating the province’s vibrant media landscape. This year’s edition features more than 150 nominees across 16 categories, selected from over 600 participants, underscoring the breadth, talent, and commitment of media practitioners in the North West.

For the first time, the awards will be hosted under the Compassion Awards Foundation and Investments (CAFI) — a registered Non-Profit Company dedicated to community development, social impact, and recognising excellence across multiple sectors. CAFI will also oversee other community-focused awards and initiatives.

- 15 August 2025: Official Nominees Announcement
- 15 – 30 August 2025: Nominees receive acceptance letters and confirm participation. Voting category nominees to submit professional head-and-shoulder photographs for in-house promotional posters.
- 01 September – 30 November 2025: Public voting and judging period
- 01 – 04 December 2025: Independent auditing of results
- 05 December 2025: Awards Gala
