North West Acting Premier, Nono Maloyi, has expressed his confidence in the performance of this year’s Grade 12 learners as they prepare to take their final examinations. He commended the provincial Department of Education for its dedicated efforts to prepare students for the upcoming National Senior Certificate examinations.
Maloyi stated, “I am confident that these learners will do well in these examinations given the enormous work that the Department has carried out in preparation of these examinations.” He also assured that the technical aspects of the exams were well-prepared, with question papers meeting prescribed standards and safety measures in place.

The Acting Premier conveyed his support to the Class of 2023, saying, “The provincial government is fully behind you.”
In addition, Maloyi expressed his gratitude to parents, School Governing Bodies, and community members for their unwavering support throughout the 2023 academic year. He emphasized the importance of continued parental support during this critical time of the year.

For the 2023 academic year, the province registered a total of 46,395 candidates, which includes part-time candidates. These students will be writing their examinations in 448 examination centers across the province. The examinations are scheduled to commence on Monday, October 30, 2023, starting with the English First Additional Language paper. The entire province is eagerly anticipating the results of their hardworking Grade 12 learners as they embark on this crucial academic journey.
