One of the pressing concerns raised during the visit was the issue of learner discipline, which has been flagged as a significant obstacle to academic success. In response, MEC Motsumi proposed the possibility of transferring all matric candidates to another school for enhanced support, which could help mitigate distractions and provide a more focused environment as the exams approach.

Motsumi emphasized the vital role of the community, particularly parents, in instilling discipline among learners. She urged parents in Majemantsho to play an active role in ensuring their children adhere to school codes of conduct.

“It is essential that we prioritize the education of our children,” Motsumi stated. “It is unacceptable for learners to behave as though there are no codes of conduct in our schools, and we must take action to address this issue.”
