North West Media Awards 2024: Celebrated Hosts Announced for Prestigious Ceremony

The North West Media Awards team is thrilled to announce the esteemed hosts who will lead this year’s grand ceremony, honoring excellence in media and community leadership across the province. On December 6, 2024, at the Orion Safari Hotel, three remarkable figures will take the stage: Jones “Blaq Gzus” Modibane, Berlina Lekgethwane, and You FM’s beloved presenter Sydney “Sydnature” Letsapa. Each brings a unique blend of talent, experience, and dedication to the province, promising a night that celebrates the very best of North West talent.

Sydney “Sydnature” Letsapa, known for his warm and insightful presence on air, is a broadcasting veteran with a career spanning two decades in both commercial and community radio. A proud North West native, Sydnature holds a BA in Communication and a BSc Honours in Political Studies and International Relations from North-West University. Since starting his media journey in 2004, he has been a trusted voice in South African radio, connecting with audiences across the country and sharing impactful stories that matter to local communities.

Berlina Lekgethwane, a celebrated figure in social development, was recently crowned Mrs. World Peace 2024 and Mrs. Worldwide Special Queen Ambassador. She is the CEO of the Berlina Lekgethwane Foundation, a platform dedicated to uplifting women and youth through empowerment initiatives. Berlina’s achievements reflect her dedication to diversity, inclusion, and regional growth, with her foundation playing a significant role in championing social change and inspiring others to make a difference.

Adding an element of humor and charisma to the event, Jones “Blaq Gzus” Modibane is well-known in the North West entertainment scene. As a comedian, entertainer, and arts advocate, Blaq Gzus is a regular on Motsweding FM as a movie reviewer and is the mastermind behind Rustenburg’s Annual Platinum Comedy Show. His involvement in major productions, including the Joyous Celebration DVD recordings and his role as a finalist in SABC’s 2014 World Cup Presenter Search, has solidified his place in South African entertainment.
