The winners of the 2024 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Cooperative Provincial Pitching Competition have been announced in Klerksdorp. Ten outstanding small businesses took top honors, showcasing their innovation, resilience, and potential to drive economic growth within the North West Province.

This year’s winners include Mansalema Enterprise, Root Bound Collective, Moli-Mela Group, Lechero (Pty) Ltd, Kagisopaballo Enterprise, Moonshine Reflective Sprays, Living Hope Agricultural Cooperative, Onkgonisitse Laundry Service, PENPlay (Pty) Ltd, and Dithabo Projects. Each of these enterprises received R17,000.00, with an additional R8,000.00 awarded by ABSA, a sponsor committed to uplifting local business. All participants also received certificates of appreciation, recognizing their contributions to the provincial economy.

In addition, three of these winning businesses will advance to represent North West at the National Presidential MSME and Cooperatives Awards on November 22, 2024. Their success at the provincial level has earned them the opportunity to showcase their ventures on a national stage, competing for additional recognition and support.

The Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation, and Tourism (DEDECT) expressed pride in all participants and extended its best wishes to the North West representatives heading to the national competition. Through this competition, DEDECT aims to foster a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem that empowers small businesses, strengthens communities, and drives economic resilience across the North West.
