Orbit College registered their first away win of the Betway Premiership season with an impressive 2-1 victory over Richards Bay at the uMhlathuze Stadium on Friday night.

The victory lifted the Mswenko Boys to 12th place on the league table after notching up their third win of the campaign. It was a well-deserved result for Coach Pogiso Makhoye’s side, who showed character and determination throughout the match.

After a tightly contested first half, the visitors came out stronger after the break, putting pressure on the Natal Rich Boys’ defence. Their persistence paid off in the 51st minute when Orlando Pirates loanee Monnapule Saleng netted a simple tap-in to restore Orbit’s lead — though there were murmurs from the home crowd suggesting the winger may have been offside.

The goal proved decisive as Orbit held firm to secure all three points, marking a historic milestone in their debut top-flight campaign.
Coach Makhoye praised his players for their resilience and hinted that the team is beginning to find its rhythm. “It was a tough away game, but the boys fought hard. We are improving with every match,” he said after the game.
Orbit College will now turn their attention to their next home fixture, where they will host Magesi FC on November 1, aiming to build on their momentum and climb further up the standings.
