Orion Safari Hotel to Host North West Media Awards Until 2026

The North West Media Awards, an annual celebration honoring the contributions of the media in the North West Province, has officially announced the Orion Safari Hotel in Rustenburg as its new venue. A three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has secured the hotel as the event’s exclusive home, hosting all major gatherings associated with the awards until 2026. This partnership includes the annual award ceremony, nominee announcements, and high-profile gatherings like the Gala Evening.

Ananias Ndlovu, Founder and Chairperson of the North West Media Awards, highlighted the significance of this partnership. “The commitment from Orion Safari Hotel reflects the growth and importance of these awards in our region’s media landscape,” Ndlovu said. “This partnership will help us elevate the event, honoring the media’s contributions with the recognition they deserve.”

Now in its fourth edition since being relaunched in 2020, the awards will be held on Friday, 06 December 2024. This year’s event boasts 207 nominees, a testament to the growing diversity of North West Province’s media landscape. Nominees represent a range of media platforms, including community radio stations, local newspapers, government media, SABC, You FM, Pulse FM, and prominent social media influencers and digital content creators.

The awards ceremony is expected to draw a large audience, including notable stakeholders, local community members, and government officials, all gathered to honor the achievements of media professionals in North West Province.
