The Phokeng community gathered in large numbers to celebrate a momentous milestone as Mme Mampu Annah Diale turned 100 years old. The celebration, held on Saturday, was graced by the presence of North West MEC for Social Development, Susanna Dantjie, who joined in honoring the centenarian’s remarkable life.

Mme Diale, born on July 4, 1924, celebrated her milestone birthday on Thursday. MEC Dantjie emphasized the significance of such an occasion, noting that it deserved broader recognition. The festivities included a special event where MEC Dantjie, alongside other community members, celebrated Mme Diale’s century of life.

In addition to honoring Mme Diale, MEC Dantjie extended the celebration to include ten other senior citizens, symbolizing the respect and admiration the community holds for its elders. The event featured the handover of goodies to the elderly attendees, further enriching the joyous atmosphere.
