Premier Mokgosi Confident in Resolving Traditional Leadership Conflicts in North West

North West Premier Lazarus Mokgosi remains determined to resolve the ongoing conflicts affecting traditional leaders in the province. In a meeting with MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Gaoage Molapisi, and the Department’s Head of Department, Dr. Ben Bole, Mokgosi received a comprehensive status report on traditional leadership disputes and claims. The discussions also highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to find lasting solutions to these challenges.

Premier Mokgosi emphasized that stabilizing traditional leadership in the province is essential for advancing the government’s developmental agenda, particularly in rural areas. “The stability of our traditional leadership structures will go a long way in driving key initiatives such as agriculture and cultural tourism, which are pivotal to the growth of rural communities,” Mokgosi said.
