The mood at Ramotse Primary School in Luka – North West started on a high note this morning – 17 January 2023 – when the Rustenburg Local Municipality donated 20 laptops and computers. The school lost all its computers when a computer lab burnt to ashes last year.

The Executive Mayor of the municipality, Sheila Mabale-Huma handed over the laptops and computers to the principal, Motlatsi Molokwane. Mabale-Huma told Naledi News that they were touched by the loss the school suffered last year. She said they had to do something. “Computers are very important to any school. We had to do something. We took laptops and computers from our municipality and donated them to the school,” said Mabale-Huma. Principal Motlatsi said they are thrilled to see the municipalities honoring its promise. “After our loss last year, the municipality came to us and promised to assist. They donated cleaning materials last year and today they are donating laptops – we are so happy,” said Motlatsi.
