Ruth K Foundation Hosts Annual Fitness and Charity Drive at Paardekraal Primary

The Ruth K Foundation marked Freedom Day with a vibrant celebration focused on promoting healthy living and community engagement. Paardekraal Primary School in Rustenburg was the venue for the Foundation’s 4th Annual Fitness and Charity Drive, which brought together students, parents, and stakeholders for a day of activities and donations on Saturda, 27 April 2024.

Led by Mabu Mosadikwena Molefi, the Founder and CEO of Ruth K Foundation, the event aimed to empower local communities by fostering a culture of fitness and philanthropy. Molefi expressed her satisfaction with the event’s success, emphasizing the importance of involving learners, teachers, and parents in recreational activities that promote overall well-being.

Various stakeholders supported the initiative by providing donations to the school. Among them were:

  • African Bank: Donated furniture to enhance the school’s learning environment.
  • Sanlam: Provided school uniforms to support students in need.
  • Old Mutual: Contributed trophies, medals, and certificates to recognize students’ achievements.
  • Motsisi Funeral: Offered groceries, medals, trophies, and certificates to further encourage participation and excellence.
  • Westvaal: Donated groceries, medals, trophies, and certificates, reinforcing the community spirit.
  • Build it: Provided paints and Grade R garden toys to enhance the school’s facilities and outdoor areas.

The event not only celebrated Freedom Day but also highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing community needs. Through partnerships and shared efforts, the Ruth K Foundation and its supporters are making a tangible difference in the lives of local residents, particularly the youth.
