THE VILLAGES MARKET SET TO CELEBRATE LOCAL TALENT AND CULTURE IN NORTH WEST

The Villages Market is set to return to Makweleng Restaurant on Saturday, 01 November 2025, from 12:00 PM to 21:00 PM, promising a lively celebration of local crafts, culture, and cuisine under the theme “Celebrate Local – Craft, Culture & Cuisine.”

Organized as a monthly event, the Villages Market aims to promote local businesses, artisans, and food vendors while encouraging community engagement, entrepreneurship, and tourism in the North West. The event provides a safe and family-friendly environment for residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs to connect and experience the best the province has to offer.

Event organizer Kegomoditswe Gadise said the market is more than a trade platform—it is a celebration of local talent and a space for community connection.

“This market is about celebrating our people, our talent, and our food. We want to create a space where small businesses thrive, families connect, and visitors experience the beauty and diversity of the North West,” Gadise said.

According to organizers, food stalls, detergents, diffusers and perfumes, snacks and popcorns, tattoos, hubbly, and cocktails are fully booked. They are still inviting vendors selling clothes, crafts, or any legal products to join and take advantage of this platform to showcase their goods. Interested participants are encouraged to book by texting 082 783 4571.

Families are encouraged to attend, as a kids’ zone with jumping castles will be available, but children must be accompanied by parents for safety reasons.

Organizers are also calling for community support in the form of donations such as benches, umbrellas, jumping castles, and barricades to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

“The Villages Market is out, baby — and she will one day be one of the biggest events in the hood,” Gadise added.
