North West teams endured a disappointing weekend in the Nedbank Cup, with all three provincial representatives eliminated from the competition.

On Saturday, Army Rocket were knocked out after suffering a 3–0 home defeat to Casric Stars at Olympia Park in Rustenburg. Thuso Mogale scored a brace, while Ofentse Kgosana added the third goal to send the Mpumalanga outfit through to the next round.

On Sunday afternoon, Orbit College FC were convincingly beaten 3–0 by Betway Premiership side Lamontville Golden Arrows at the King Zwelithini Stadium. Goals from Angelo van Rooi, Sede Dion and Ayabulela Maxwele sealed the result. The match was a replay after Saturday night’s original fixture at the same venue was abandoned due to lightning and inclement weather.

Later in the day, Lerumo Lions bowed out following a 2–1 defeat to Mkhambathi FC at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium. Mehluleli Ndelu and Xolandi Zondo found the net for Mkhambathi FC in the ABC Motsepe League versus Motsepe Foundation Championship clash.
