Thuntsa Lerole Reloaded Brings Sports and Community Together in Klipgat

The Thuntsa Lerole Reloaded program continues to uplift communities by creating awareness of essential North West Government services while promoting sports and healthy living. As part of this initiative, a vibrant soccer and netball tournament was held in Klipgat, Madibeng Local Municipality, to support grassroots sports development and encourage community participation.

The tournament brought together local teams in a spirited competition that not only showcased talent but also strengthened community ties. By bridging the gap between government initiatives and the people they serve, the program reinforces the importance of sports in fostering unity and a healthier lifestyle.

Participating Teams:

Soccer Clubs:

  • Brandon FC – Klipgat
  • Rias FC – Madidi Village
  • Skyline FC – Sofasonke

Netball Clubs:

  • Madidi NC – Madidi Village
  • Skraalie NC – Klipgat Village
  • Makanyaneng NC – Makanyaneng Village

In recognition of their efforts and achievements, the winning teams in both soccer and netball will be awarded sporting equipment and attire. The prizes will be handed over at the Provincial Thuntsa Lerole event set to take place on Friday at the Klipgat Community Hall.

With sports being a powerful tool for social change, initiatives like Thuntsa Lerole Reloaded continue to create opportunities for young athletes while reinforcing community engagement and development.
