PASA DONATES COMPUTERS, CLOTHING AND SHOES AS RETLAKGONA PRIMARY CELEBRATES 30 YEARS

Retlakgona Primary School in Meriting, outside Rustenburg, celebrated its 30th anniversary on Friday with generous support from the Pakistan Association of Southern Africa (PASA). Learners were treated to entertainment and received gifts including clothing, shoes, and other goodies, while parents were also presented with clothing and tokens of appreciation. PASA further donated two computers to strengthen the school’s resources.

Rustenburg Local Municipality’s MMC for Special Projects, Virginia Mputle, hailed Retlakgona Primary as one of the best schools in the city. “This school has produced many academics over the past 30 years, and it continues to be a beacon of excellence in education,” she said.

Principal Thomas Rankeng expressed gratitude to both government and private stakeholders. “I am overwhelmed by the support we have received. It shows the community’s commitment to ensuring our learners are given the best opportunities,” he said.

PASA President Mohammed Mansha reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to giving back to communities. “Wherever we run businesses, we remain committed to supporting people. Education is the foundation of society, and we are proud to play a role in uplifting both learners and parents,” he said.

The colourful celebration not only honoured the school’s 30-year legacy but also underscored the importance of partnerships in building stronger communities through education.
