Maboloka KL Road ready to roll

The Executive Mayor of Madibeng Local Municipality, Douglas Maimane, officially opened the newly paved 2.2km KL road in Maboloka on Friday. The inauguration ceremony was attended by members of the Mayoral Committee, local councillors, and the traditional leadership of Maboloka.

In his speech, Mayor Maimane expressed his gratitude to all those involved in the successful completion of the project. “Let me thank the people of Maboloka, the local councillors, the traditional leadership, and the contractor for ensuring that the municipality delivers a good product such as this road,” he said.

Mayor Maimane acknowledged the challenges faced during the construction, noting that the project had been halted at one point due to the poor performance of the initial contractor. “You would recall that at some point the construction of this road was halted due to poor performance by the first contractor until we appointed the current contractor who did a wonderful job as you can see,” he stated.

The newly paved road is expected to significantly benefit the residents of Maboloka, improving connectivity and infrastructure in the area. The completion of the KL road marks a notable achievement for the Madibeng Local Municipality, highlighting its commitment to enhancing local development and community well-being.
