SMMEs in Madibeng Receive Work Machinery Boost from Bojanala District

Three small businesses in Madibeng have received a major boost after the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality (BPDM) handed over essential work machinery to them on Thursday, 26 June 2025.

The handover was led by BPDM’s MMC for Economic Development and Tourism, Annetjie Selebogo, alongside Madibeng Local Municipality’s MMC for Economic Development, Agriculture and Tourism, Motladi Modipane.

The beneficiaries were identified by Madibeng Local Municipality’s Local Economic Development (LED) Division after they sought assistance to grow their businesses. BPDM procured the machinery according to the needs submitted by Madibeng and delivered the equipment to businesses in Maboloka, Mmakau, and Brits CBD.

BPDM will remain the custodian of the equipment for five years to ensure it is used effectively to grow the businesses. Ownership will be transferred to the SMMEs once the municipality is satisfied with their utilisation and impact.
