SALENG JOINS ORBIT COLLEGE FC ON LOAN

Orbit College FC have secured the services of winger Monnapule Saleng from Orlando Pirates on a season-long loan for the 2025/2026 campaign.

Orlando Pirates confirmed the move on Wednesday, 09 July 2025, ending speculation about Saleng’s future after reports linked him with a possible permanent stay at Pirates or a move elsewhere.

Born in Bloemhof in the North West Province, the 26-year-old attacker is known for his blistering pace, creativity, and goal-scoring ability. Saleng first rose to prominence while playing for Orbit College FC.

His impressive performances earned him a move to Orlando Pirates, where he quickly became a fan favourite with his direct runs and flair on the wing. Saleng has also been part of the Bafana Bafana squad, earning caps under coach Hugo Broos.

However, in recent months, Saleng has struggled for consistent game time at Pirates. The club stated that the loan deal is in the best interests of both parties, giving the player an opportunity to regain form and confidence while contributing to Orbit College’s ambitions in the Betway Premier League.
